In Tech Tip “Wikipedia (Part 1) - How to Check for Content Accuracy,” Shalma and Hafsa explained that Wikipedia is a multilingual web-based free content encyclopedia.
In our Tech Tip, Nabeel and I are going to tell you how to edit or change an article in Wikipedia! Your intention to do this would be to add accurate information.
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Go to www.wikipedia.com.
3. Click on English.
4. Make an account by clicking Sign In/Create an Account.
5. Search for an article where you want to change the content.
6. Click on the Edit This Page on the top of the article.
7. Find the section in the article that you wish to edit and type in the changes.
8. Next, write a short summary on what you included.
9. Click on the save button to officially change the article.
10. Check if the article is changed by refreshing the page.
Imagine that! You have just added your two cents to an online encyclopedia!
And remember, if the information you added was accurate, it will be evaluated as such. We Wikipedia lovers expect accuracy, or WE'LL edit your changes!
