Issue - How to block messages from people you don't know or don't want to talk to
Tiptoid -
Have you ever used MSN messenger? Well, after exploring the MSN Messenger features, I now know a better and safer way to talk to friends and avoid talking to people I don't want to talk to, or whom I don't know.
When you log on to MSN Messenger using your passport email address, the people that you previously added to your list will appear. The list consists of their email user names.
Now, let's say you have a friend you don't want to talk to. You could either –
1. Open the chat box and find Block at the bottom right of the box. Right click on the Block button. Note – this action will only block that buddy once. And if you exit out of the chat box, that person won't automatically be blocked next time.
2. If you want to permanently block someone – someone you never want to talk to – do the following. On your screen above your buddy list there's a button called Settings. When you click this button, it will open to a bunch of different options. There's a tab on the left called Protection/Security. If you click on this tab, you see a Block Options button. Once you click on this button, you can choose to block one or many names.
A final word on safety - while using this MSN software, make sure you have some kind of spyware or firewall installed to your computer, to prevent hackers.
Now you know how to be safer and still have fun using MSN Messenger.
