Did you know that if you go to www.Google.com and type a word in the search box that you don't know the meaning of, a dictionary definition pops up? Well it's true, so here are the easy steps to finding out the official dictionary meaning of one of our favorite words, “Imagination.”
Go to www.Google.com.
In the search bar type “Define:” (see below)

After you type “Define:” type in the word you want to look up - in this case, imagination.

Click on Google Search.

You will see this screen.

. To find the meaning you want to use, select definitions on the screen, or click on the links.
Google also searches out Thesaurus terms. A quick reference source of synonyms and antonyms is a handy vocabulary builder. Here's what Jennifer and I did to find a list of Thesaurus terms for our word “imagination.”
Type synonym:imagination in the search box.
When the page comes up, look for the results line to the right. There you will see, in blue, the words synonym:imagination. Click on imagination.
The following page comes up, providing you with a list of synonyms and antonyms.

Words are fun to know about and use. So is Google. Jennifer and I hope you enjoy using Google's handy word tools, too.
