The other day I came across this fantastic website called www.prometheanplanet.com. Promethean Planet is an interactive learning technology company whose website is free and collaborative. The site connects learning to the curriculum with fun for both students and teachers. It even provides educators with lessons to share!

At the site I found an interesting section on the human eye. There are text and visual explanations of the different parts of the eye, and what each part does is fully detailed. The vocabulary is descriptive, and the amazing images and illustrations clarified any questions I had. The links to other websites provide further information. A series of downloadable resource packs, useful for interactivity and further study, are available.

Navigate to the Professional Development section of the site and you will find endless learning tools and techniques for communicating information. I enjoyed reading about how to “Build a Better Flipchart.” The “Tips from the Pros” section looked intriguing....Pros giving tips to Pros???

User Forum provides lots of opportunities for interactive learning about the curriculum. As you search for information on topics of your preference, you will interact with people from all over the world.

"The Forum may very well be the most valuable resource our website has to offer.  New information is shared and posted by the hour, just waiting to be discovered by unsuspecting planet travelers.  From flash files to images, techniques to tools, there's something for everyone waiting inside!" Margaret Allen, Forum Moderator, http://www.prometheanplanet.com/us/server/show/nav.1251

I'm going to tell all my teachers about PrometheanPlanet. I'll bet they will be proud of me for my discovery, and maybe even grateful!
