Topic - Careers in the Arts (Part Two)
Issue - Do you have the required skills?
Tiptoid -
Are you, like me, interested in pursuing a career in the Arts? I hope you are, but a question we both need to know the answer to is – do I have the skills to make it and be successful in the Arts world?
To find the answer, I did some research on the Internet, and found the following list of essential skills for those of us wanting an Arts career.
~ creative thinking
~ quick thinking
~ appreciation of aesthetics
~ experimenting with ideas
~ working with self-direction
~ generating ideas
~ seeing connections
~ critical thinking
~ perceptivity
~ flexibility
~ attention to detail
~ communication skills
~ good work ethic
~ good judgment
~ a passion/love for the Arts!
These are just some of the basic skills a person who wants to pursue a career in the Arts needs to have a running start.
By the way – you'll for sure see me directing plays in MY future!
Glossary -
generate – to bring into existence
pursue - to continue at one thing
