Compare, Contrast

Looking at photos of people from different cultures got us interested in more than photography. We thought about points of view…the subject's and the photographer's. The portraits in this international photo collection showed us that the way people present themselves when being photographed really matters to them. These people dressed up to reflect not only their cultures, but their personal styles. We have also begun to see the importance of the photographer's skill to cleverly bring out the subject's point of view. We now understand better how to take on both of these roles.
