The LJTV Multimedia Production Process (Grade 8)

Students in Grade 8 Advanced M2P spend some of their year creating ideas, planning and then producing a variety of media projects which are broadcast weekly to the school population as the LJTV Feature Show. Character education is the focus of all projects. In addition, they produce LIVE the daily Good Morning Jackson Middle program.
In the following critical thinking writing activity, the students reflected on the importance of following a logical, organized and efficient production process, essential to the successful completion of the variety of tasks associated with the production of a multimedia project, and a LIVE multi-faceted television broadcast.
After thinking about all the phases and stages inherent in these challenges, they each selected one significant lesson (concept) they had learned. Their reflections include what lesson they learned, how they learned it, and how they plan to apply this lesson in the future.
