Suggestions for using this webquest
- There are many topics in this webquest. You could assign topics to individual students, have students work in pairs, or a mixture of both. Some of the more involved topics such as Women in the Civil War or Life in the Civil War may be more complete if assigned to pairs of students or students who are more familiar with the topics and are more skilled in using HyperStudio.
- Biographies are generally easier topics - especially for Students with Disabilities or English for Speakers of Other Languages Students. Starred links are to sites with easier reading levels.
- The following pdf files are worksheets that have questions similar to the ones on the advise page. They may be printed and given to the students to guide their work at the teacher's discretion.
