Your HyperStudio Stack must include the following:

• At least 3 cards.
  • A title card that has the title, your name, one picture and a button to the next card.
  • An information card that has a scrolling text box, a picture and a button to the next card.
  • A credits card that has a picture, your bibliography (where you got the information) and a button back to the first card.

• You may want to include
  • Extra cards with more information
  • A background and border on your cards (Remember all the cards should have the same background and border)
• Use this storyboard to plan your stack.

Here are some guidelines about what information you should include on each topic.

• Battles
  • How many people died?
  • Where did the battle take place?
  • What is the closest major city?
  • Who were the generals of each army?

• Events
  • What was the event?
  • Who was involved?
  • Where did it take place?
  • Why was it important?

• Women during the Civil War
  • In what ways did the lives of women change while their brothers, husbands and sons were away at war?
  • What were some common jobs, besides being a housewife, that women performed during this era that contributed to the war efforts?
  • What were some particularly difficult hardships women faced in the homes while the men were away fighting?
  • In what ways did slave and slavemistress's lives change during this point in history?
  • What were some things women did to occupy their time besides housework?

• Underground Railroad
  • What was it?
  • Where did it go?
  • What was its purpose?
  • Who used it? Why?

• Life As a Slave
  • Why did the South need slaves?
  • What were the working conditions?
  • What did slaves do?
  • How were they treated?
  • What happened to their families?
  • What slavery laws did Virginia pass?

• Life as a Soldier
  • What had the soldiers done before the war? What jobs did they have?
  • What did soldiers do when they were not fighting?
  • Tell about somethings that they did during a battle.
