The technology program at London Towne ES is integrated in the school wide curriculum. Our computer lab is equipped with 32 HP Compaq D530 desktop computers, a Ricoh color scanner and copier, a brand new HP color laser jet printer, a Smart Board and a stand alone color scanning station. In addition to this we have a teacher presentation station which is connected to the Smart Board as well as to the TV screen to enable the students follow instructions thoroughly. Each class room has five top of the line computers and each teacher and faculty member has a wireless laptop. The entire school building is wireless, allowing Internet access throughout the building and outside learning areas. We also have two mobile labs (16 laptops in each), which can be wheeled to the class rooms for student use. We have one Interactive whiteboard (Smart Board) station and three additional projectors per grade level to promote collaborative learning environment. Grade level digital cameras are provided to the teachers and students to promote and encourage visual literacy. Our teachers regularly share their ideas, suggestions and achievements with peers during the weekly team meetings as our London Towne community incorporates innovations in its curriculum planning. Our tech team consists of a School Based Technology Specialist (SBTS) and a part time Technology Support Specialist (TSSpec).
