London Towne serves students with learning Disabilities and Speech and Language Disorders at all grade levels. Students work with our seven special education teachers, four instructional assistants, one occupational therapist, one physical therapist, one adaptive PE teacher and two speech and language clinicians in small groups.
Students are Identified for Special Education services through an intensive evaluation that includes psychological, educational and sociocultural assessment. Each student has an individual Education Program (IEP) which set goals that address the child's needs in reading, written language and math.
Questions about the process for identifying students for Special Education services can be addressed by calling the school office.
More Information about Special Education programs in Fairfax County can be found on the Fairfax County Public Schools web page under Special Education.
