The Physical Education Department would like to welcome all of you to an exciting school year. We are looking forward to teaching your children many new and creative physical activities. Some of our program activities include: individual and team cultural games, and classroom health units. It is our hope that the Liberty Physical Education Program will create an enjoyable and memorable learning experience for your child.

Please be aware of a few important events that occur during the school year. The Fairfax County Health Services Department will be conducting health screenings, which include vision and hearing testing. Human Growth and Development courses will be offered to all students.

Quality physical education programs in our nation’s schools are essential to developing life-long physical skills contributing to total fitness and health. Physical activity can improve self-confidence, support academic achievement, reduce the risk of depression and increase self-discipline.
