Board Game Club

Wednesdays We have Monopoly, Stratego, Battleship, Checkers, chess, puzzles and much, much more.  Some students play Warhammer and other Fantasy games.  Students may also bring their own games to share. Tom Mossburg

College Partnership Program

First Wednesday of every month
The College Partnership Program creates a collegial culture and facilitates development of positive attitude toward academic achievement.  It also increases the number of students who enroll in college.

Homework Club

Wednesdays
Students who would like to get their homework done in a quiet atmosphere with access to references and resources are welcome to attend.  Students are not required to attend every Wednesday-only when they need work time.

International Club

2nd Wednesday of each month

Students interested in learning about other countries and cultures through craft activities will enjoy meeting in an informal setting with other like minded individuals.  We share food from other countries as we make unique artifacts and learn fun tidbits about the numerous countries of the world.

A band that will play different styles of popular music, such as swing, blues, and rock. The band will consist of saxophones, trumpets, trombones, and rhythm section (guitar, bass, piano, drum set, and auxiliary percussion).

Open to all Liberty MS students by audition. We are looking for motivated and dedicated students to make this group a success! The ability to read music is necessary.

Wednesdays Open to all Liberty MS students. Students will help tape the daily news show as an anchor or part of the tech crew.

Math Counts

Meets in January, but it becomes every Wednesday in order to prepare for the competition which is held in February MATHCOUNTS is a regional/national middle school competition that is held annually in February where students from middle schools in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area compete to progress to the national competition.  In MATHCOUNTS we complete various problems and learn strategies in Mathematics.  We learn to be a team and enjoy the rewards of Math.

National Junior Honor Society

9/26, 10/3, 11/4, 12/5, 1/9, 2/9, 3/6, 5/1, 5/24, 5/25, 6/2 The five qualities for membership are scholarship (a 3.7 GPA at the end of the 3 rd quarter for 7 th graders), service, leadership, character and citizenship. Running Club

Mondays LMS running club provides students of all levels of athletic ability an organized place to begin a running routine. The goal is to help students foster a sense of accomplishment and self-worth through continually improving skills. Short Stories Club

Meetings TBD Interested writers may come and discuss their work, and write individual and collaborative stories.  This is for fun; however, members will be encouraged to publish in school publications, enter competitions, and post to the club webzine. Julia Todhunter

Show Choir (by audition)

Thursdays 3-5 Show Choir is an auditioned performance ensemble.  Weekly rehearsals are spent learning and rehearsing music and dances. Auditions are open to all Liberty students.
