The Art curriculum is based on the assumption that art education is a fundamental part of the total education of each student. We assume that each student has a natural creative ability that can be nurtured through knowledge about and appreciation of the world of art as well as through individual creative problem solving.

A varied series of Art courses are offered to provide students the opportunity to expand artistic skills and knowledge.

Lee High School has a chapter of the National Art Honor Society. Membership dues are $10.00. All members must maintain a B average in their art classes. Meetings are held after school, the last Wednesday of the month. Mrs. Crowder-sponsor

Art Chix, a new club for girls, was created to make art projects, exchange ideas, and eat. the membership dues is $5.00 and the club meets every Monday after school. See Ms. Crowder for details.
