Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Miss Bailey earned her B.S. in Education from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She taught elementary and middle school for four years until she moved to Northern Virginia to attend The George Washington University where she earned an M.A. in School Counseling. During graduate school, Miss Bailey taught 5th grade at William Ramsey Elementary School in Alexandria, VA. Her hobbies include reading, traveling, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family.

Originally from Lyons, NY, Dr. Checcino attended SUNY College at Cortland where he earned a B.S. in Chemistry. He proceeded to receive his M.S. in Chemistry Education at SUNY Albany. Following graduate school, Dr. Checcino served in the U.S. Navy and then taught high school chemistry for 17 years. He returned to graduate school to earn an M.Ed. and Ph.D. in Education (with a specialty in School Counseling) from George Mason University. Dr. Checcino was a counselor at Key Middle School for 11 years prior to coming to Lee in 2002. His hobbies include movies, photography, and music.

 

Jennifer Hogan

Originally from Windsor, NY, Miss Hogan earned her B.S. in Health Science and Sports Medicine at SUNY Brockport. She then attended Clemson University where she earned an M.A. in Counseling. After moving to Northern Virginia, Miss Hogan taught math at Annandale High School for five years prior to becoming a School Counselor at Lee. Her hobbies include outdoor activities, visiting her family in NY, and running. In 2000, she ran the Country Music Marathon in Nashville, TN.

Ms. Ingrasci was born and raised in Niagara Falls, NY. She earned her B.A. in Psychology at Syracuse University. After undergraduate school, Ms. Ingrasci was an applied behavior analysis teacher in New York City until she moved to Northern Virginia and earned her M.A. in School Counseling from Marymount University. She enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, and entertaining her 2 dogs, Rocco and Roxie.

Mr. Miller was born in New Haven, CT and raised in Hamden, CT. After high school he earned his B.A. in Literature and his M.Ed. in Counseling at American University. He taught junior high school, middle school and high school English for several years before becoming a School Counselor. He enjoys spending time with his family, music, canoeing, and hiking.

Mr. Quarles was born and raised in Washington, D.C. He attended Bowie State University where he earned his B.S. in Psychology and his M.A. in Counseling Psychology. He worked as a Lab Technician at the National Institute of Health for one year until he earned his School Counseling certification through George Mason University and became a School Counselor. He spent 3 years at an elementary school, 3 years at Key Middle School, and then came to Lee in 1995. His goal is to obtain his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology within the next 5 years. Mr. Quarles has a wife and 2 daughters and enjoys playing fantasy sports, remodeling, and spending time with his dog, Jada.

Mrs. Spitzer grew up in Alexandria, VA and attended Fairfax County Public Schools. She attended North Carolina State University and the University of Mary Washington for undergraduate school and earned her B.A. in Sociology. Mrs. Spitzer returned to Northern Virginia and taught 7th grade math at Walt Whitman Middle School, Stephen Foster Middle School, and Bryant Middle School. After 12 years of teaching, she went on to attend Virginia Tech where she earned her M.A. in Counseling. Mrs. Spitzer enjoys traveling, socializing, boating, and spending time with her husband, 2 daughters, and black lab, Jackson.
