National Art Honor Society (NAHS)
Introduction

The National Art Honor Society was designed to recognize and inspire students with a minimum 3.0 GPA who have shown an outstanding ability in art. Members are encouraged to attain the highest standards in art, and to bring art education to the attention of the community.

Annual events for the Robert E. Lee chapter of NAEA include: participation in the Homecoming club banner contest (2007 and 2008 winner!)community outreach via teaching art lessons to neighboring elementary students and senior retirement communities, independent and group art projects, field trips, host to guest speakers and visiting artists, etc.

After successfully completing annual requirements, members are officially inducted at the end of the school year, with graduating seniors receiving colorful NAHS honor cords to wear at graduation. Grades 9-12 are eligible for NAHS membership. NAHS meets monthly. $10 membership dues.
