Invisible Children is a non profit organization that raises awareness of the troubles of children overseas in Africa as well as other nations buried in poverty. Similar to The United Nations Children's Fund [UNICEF], Invisible Children focuses on the well-being of children worldwide. This group promotes helping others by fund raising and creating social events to educate others that the negligence of children can be prevented and that education is very important for everyone. Currently the biggest project for Invisible Children is the reconstruction of new schools in Uganda (which has recovered from years of civil war) as well as many other nations. These schools specifically in Northern Uganda include Lacor Secondary School, Gulu High School, Layibi Secondary School, and Atanga Secondary School. After reconstruction, these schools are still lacking in textbooks and resources.
