Five Fairfax County High School Yearbooks Named Finalists for NSPA Pacemaker Awards. Yearbooks from five Fairfax County high schools have been named finalists for the National Scholastic Press Association (NSPA) Pacemaker Awards. The finalists are:

- Odyssey, Chantilly High School; Joe Fratter, Maya Ahronovich, and Kelly Tarrant, editors; Mary Kay Downes, adviser
- The Shield, Lee High School; Katie Barkley and Rachael Kester, editors; Erinn Harris, adviser
- Paragon, Oakton High School; Nicole Bui and Amanda Desourdis, editors; Chad Rummel, adviser
- Sentry, Robinson Secondary School (middle school publication); Carly Gordon and Andrew Miller, editors; Patricia Hinman, adviser
- The Guardian, Westfield High School; Jennifer Cody and Sarah Nichols, editors; Gary Bender, adviser.
Pacemaker Award winners will be announced at the Journalism Education Association-NSPA National High School Journalism Convention in April.
