Science teachers expect students to be able to use knowledge of scientific information to make informed decisions, analyze and communicate scientific information, conduct scientific investigations and make connections to other disciplines. The Science Department offers courses in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Human Anatomy, and Geosystems. All courses have integrated computer technology into their programs.

The Science Department offers a wide variety of courses which meet Virginia’s core curriculum requirements as well as the requirements of the IB program.
