Laurel Ridge Elementary is celebrating its 40th year of service and excellence in Fairfax County Public Schools. Newly renovated in 2005, the school offers a wide-spectrum of learning spaces and opportunities for children which include advanced technology resources, well-appointed classrooms, open pod learning spaces, a computer lab, a gymnasium equipped with a climbing wall, and a library media center that all mirror the energy and promise that resides with in. In 2006 Laurel Ridge began working to provide each classroom with a digital data projector and an interactive white board. In 2008 that project was completed, allowing teachers to seamlessly integrate technology into lessons on a daily basis.
