Theatre Honor Society Bake Sale
SAXON STAGE THEATRE HONOR SOCIETY (THS) STUDENTS held a bake sale Mon. Jan. 18 at the Great Falls Safeway to benefit Heifer International (www.heifer.org) and their relief efforts in Haiti. Students volunteered from 10 am - 2 pm, offered free hot coffee, and sold home-made baked goods to local residents. They collected $1500 and were interviewed by reporters from the Connection newspapers group. Kudos to THS President, Kate DaRocha and Parent Liaison, Linda DaRocha, for their leadership on this outreach service project. Baked goods not purchased were donated to the Great Falls and Reston Northpoint local fire departments.
