- LHS Personally Owned Computing Device Policy - Langley High School has recently changed its policy on student owned computing devices (such as smartphones, laptops, netbooks, tablets, and e-readers). Students will be able to use their devices in specific places and at specific times at LHS. For more information and to see the registration process please click here.
- February is National Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month - According to the 2009 Fairfax County Youth Survey, 25% of teens in Fairfax County report being the victim of some form of dating abuse. Please join the entire McLean community in promoting healthy relationships by wearing purple on Thursday, February 9th and attending "What's Love Got To Do With It?: Healthy Relationships and Dating" at 7 pm at McLean High School. This interactive educational program is sponsored by the Safe Community Coalition in partnership with the Langley High School PTSA, McLean High School PTSA, the Madeira School and Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology PTSA. - Reflections 2010-2011 - The Award Ceremony was held at the U.S. Department of Education in Washington, D.C. Ivy Ni has won in the category Visual Arts and was honored during the ceremony by Arne Duncan, the United States Secretary of Education. Her work, Together We Can Buld a Better World, is on exhibit at the Lyndon Baines Johnson Education Building.
- Curriculum Awareness - Curriculum Awareness for students will be held on Monday Feb 6 and Tuesday Feb 7 during all classes. This is a school wide event where students will presentations from all departments in the building so that they can choose the best classes that fit their learning needs for the 2012-13 school year.

- The Student Services department is considering offering two small groups for students. One group will be for students dealing with significant loss (ie: family member/close friend). The other group will be for students dealing with parents deployed or returning from deployment. Groups will meet weekly for about 6-8 weeks for approximately 30 minutes each. We will do our best to not conflict with instructional time. Interested students should contact, Sonya Williams in Student Services.

History
Langley High School is located in the northeast corner of Fairfax County, just across the Potomac River from Washington, DC, in McLean, Virginia. The school's geographic attendance area, the largest in the district, encompasses residences on the border with Loudoun County as well as the community of McLean.
Langley High School is one of twenty-six secondary and high schools in the Fairfax County Public School (FCPS) system. The school district is the largest in Virginia and the eleventh largest in the country, with over 175,000 students served.
