Fairfax HS Clothing Drive Langley Boys' Basketball families are participating in a clothing drive sponsored by the leadership group of Fairfax High School, next Tuesday, Dec. 15, during all Langley-Fairfax basketball games held at that school. Anyone who might be planning to attend one of the games that night is encouraged to bring an item listed below:

-The Winter Wear Drive will last from Dec. 7-18 th. -Wear includes: Coats, mittens, scarves, hats, gloves, blankets, etc. -These will be donated to the Lamb Center in Fairfax Circle and other homeless organizations. -We are asking for your participation at our Guys Basketball home game on Dec. 15th. There will be leadership students at the door with a box ready to collect all coats and wears brought to the game. All attendees who donate winter wear will be awarded with $2.00 off their ticket into the game. -Thank you for your participation. Attention Senior Parents: The deadline for submitting Senior Ads for the 2010 yearbook is fast approaching and space is still available. The yearbook staff is accepting orders now through November 25, 2009. Please click here for an order form and information about how to create an ad for your graduating senior.

National Honor Society Senior Leadership Project proposal forms are due this Wednesday November 11, 2009. All forms must be signed by your sponser as well as Mrs. Cohen in Room 219, and must be turned into Room 219 by the end of the day. Remember, no groups larger than 3 are allowed per project. Forms can be found online under "activities." Scroll down to the end of the National Honor Society page to find the document.

Attention Juniors:
Any junior who is interested in self-nominating themselves for the 2010 Summer Governor’s School for the Arts should contact Dr. Joan Tannenbaum in Guidance by the end of the day on Monday, October 19th. The areas of study are: Dance, Instrumental Music, Theater, Visual Art and Vocal Music.

School Portraits
Lifetouch Studios will return to Langley for UNDERCLASS, FACULTY & STAFF portrait make-up sessions. If you missed your school portrait, or if you would like a re-take, please report to room 225 during all lunch periods and after school on October 21st and 22.

Order forms are available in the main office and room 194.


Math Honor Society Applications
Anyone interesting in becoming a member of the math honor society who has a 3.6 math GPA or higher should pick up an application in room 241. Please return the application to room 241 no later than October 16, 2009.
