6th Graders Become Taste-Testers!

foodtest1 foodtest2 foodtest3

Selected 6th grade students recently took part in a special tasting session sponsored by the Fairfax County Public Schools' Office of Food and Nutrition Services. The students were invited to sample new menu items currently in development to help determine if the new flavors and textures would appeal to a wider student audience. New items tested with these discriminating palates included nachos made with a healthier vegetable-enriched cheese sauce; veggie pizza; and chocolate milk made without high fructose corn syrup sweetener.
