Description of the Lake Braddock Middle School Social Studies program:
In grade seven, students study United States history from 1867 to the present. The year begins with a brief review of United States history through the end of the Civil War and moves quickly to a detailed history of the twentieth century. Civics, Economics, and Geography is the required eighth grade course. The program of studies focuses on the rights and responsibilities of citizenship, economic decision making, political and governmental institutions and practices, and our increasingly interconnected world.
