Lake Braddock Middle School offers a wide variety of after-school clubs and
activities that focus on the following:
-Academic Support/Enrichment -Social Skills/Youth Development
-Physical/Health/Recreation -Family/Community
If your middle school student would like to stay after-school, Monday, Tuesday or Thursday and work out in the high-school weight-room, they will need to bring back the signed parental authorization and acknowledgement of risk form. New clubs/activities will be introduced as the year progresses. Student may sign up for club/activities during lunches each day, and the use the school website and blackboard to keep track of clubs/activities currently being held. Students are encouraged to community with teachers, listen to school announcements and read student message boards in order to stay informed.
Students need to be registered in the after-school program. They can obtain a registration form below, from Michelle Birkenstock in room L132, either MS sub-school, during lunch, the main office, or in MS guidance.
If middle school students are in need of one-on-one tutoring, or mentoring, Bruin Cubs, offer free mentors and tutors to meet daily after-school. Please contact Michelle Birkenstock at PMBirkenstoc@fcps.edu or call her at 703-426-6428.
If parents are interested in volunteering or sponsoring a particular club after-school, please contact Michelle Birkenstock. Ideas, assistance and support is encouraged and always welcomed.
