Description of the Lake Braddock High School FINE ARTS program.

The Fine Arts program at Lake Braddock High School offers studio art classes in 2-D and 3-D art media, Photography, and Computer Graphics, as well as Advanced Placement Art History. Art 1 is the prerequisite for all other studio art electives. Along with art production, classes incorporate art history, art criticism, aesthetics, and career information. Students have numerous opportunities to showcase their self-expression in school exhibits, art shows in the Laura P. Thomas gallery located in our school, and various competitions. The program helps students prepare an art portfolio for entrance into a college program. Art history classes are highly academic and prepare students for the Advanced Placement Art History exam.
