Fairfax County Youth Leadership Program 2011- 2012
The Fairfax County Youth Leadership Program takes high school juniors from the classroom into the world of local government. Students selected for this highly competitive internship will participate in monthly meetings with county elected officials and other local policymakers. Students will serve a paid 3-week summer internship with a department of the Fairfax County government.

Partners for Safe Teen Driving Presentation
Mandatory for Rising Sophomores (Class of 2014)
The Commonwealth of VA has passed a law requiring all sophomore students AND their parents to attend a mandatory 90 minute presentation regarding the parents’ role in teen driving. Parents and Students must attend together to receive credit for attendance. Both parent and student must check in and sign out together and must remain in attendance the entire 90 minutes.
Tenth and Twelfth Graders will be participating in the Fairfax Youth Survey during their English classes in early November. Refer to the letter from Superintendent Jack Dale for more information. If you do not want your student to participate, you must complete the opt-out form and return it to the counseling office no later than October 28, 2011.
