Description (please include general info and purpose): We strive to improve our bowling game, friendships, and enjoyment. We have 2 practices each week, a party each season and we are working towards competing in tournaments. This club is for all levels of bowling. You do not need your own shoes or bowling ball.

Club Name: College Partnership Program (CPP)

Description: The program goals are to increase the academic achievement of students and to increase the number of students, particularly first generation and minority students, who enroll in CPP and succeed in college. The CPP creates opportunities for students to successfully navigate the home, school, college, and work continuum.

Description: We organize events in and out of school that help support gay, bisexual and transgender students. We sponsor the Day of Silence in April.

Description (please include general info and purpose): We host cultural events/games/activities that encourage the use of the German language, foster a community of German learners and demonstrate/concern German culture.  Description: The Lake Braddock Bruin Chapter of the National Honor Society is designed to provide service to the Lake Braddock community. Honor society members take part in various services such as : tutoring, school beautification, volunteer work, and other services to the community.

Admission to the Honor Society is by invitation for those students who are in their sophomore year or beyond, and have a 3.5 or higher GPA. The candidates must also demonstrate that they value the qualities espoused by the NHS: leadership, scholarship, character, and service.

Description : We publish an annual literary magazine showcasing the best art and literature of the Lake Braddock Secondary School community. As an editorial board, we solicit submissions and decide what to publish. We also design and layout the magazine for publication. If you have an interest in poetry, prose, art, or graphic design, come be a part of an award-winning publication.

Description: The Technology Student Association (TSA) is a student organization devoted exclusively to the needs of students interested in technology. Members apply and integrate science, technology, engineering and mathematics concepts through co-curricular activities, competitive events and related programs.

Description: To produce theatre. I often quote LBT's founder, Pat Jones :

“Every play produced at Lake Braddock is to give the student another facet of life, to help him or her see the various roles played in the various societies which make up our civilization. It is to enable the student to draw from this experience his or her own set of values or to more strongly reinforce those which have already ingrained in him or her.”

Club Name: Young Democrats

Meeting Place/Time: During election seasons, J-222

Description: We are a club organized to get students excited about participating in public affairs, specifically by organizing students to help elect Democratic candidates for President, Congress, and state offices. This is done mostly by campaigning for them in various ways, both at campaign offices and by canvassing neighborhoods. We also discuss information about elections and candidates during meetings. Campaign staffers and occasional public officials come in to speak with us about how to better assist Democratic candidates. We also hope in the future to organize activities such as debates with members of other politically motivated students clubs, such as the Young Conservatives.
