I love my role as the Assessment Coach at Lake Braddock. This job began for me in September 2009. I transitioned from Health and PE department chair/teacher where I spent 15 years of my educational career. Over the years I have enjoyed coaching Girls Varsity Soccer (1996-1999), as well as sponsoring the classes of 2002 and 2003. I have been an active member in the Parent Student Teacher Association (PTSA), School Planning Committee, Positive Behavior Support, as well as Collaborative Learning Teams.
I provide instructional leadership for all CLT teams and have helped implement student centered programs such as Bruin Block and Teacher Collaboration, both of which are embedded into our school day. I am responsible for all SOL and WIDA testing throughout the school year. This includes supporting the entire staff to aid in the intervention and remediation of students struggling to meet the grade level benchmarks for all core courses.
I am very fortunate to have two part-time assistants. Renee Klatt and Jeanne Weidinger both help with the administration of all school wide testing and work closely in High School guidance. |
