SOL TESTS PREPARATION
REMINDER!
All SOL testing days are regular school days for attendance. There will be no early dismissal. All students are expected to attend all classes and all applicable SOL tests.

In the left column of this web page, you will find a list of practice assessment tools for different subject areas. On the right side, you'll find resources including epat installation instructions, formula sheets and some resource documents for reading and writing.
If you click on the SUPPORT tab (near top of the web page) and go to the right hand column you will find other RESOURCES listed. Students and parents may want to click on the following reources:

Practice using the online tools such as the compass, straightedge, ruler, highlighter, eraser, choice eliminator, exhibits, protractor, and calculator. No login or password required.
- Elementary School Assessment Training Tool (ESATT)
Download this stand-alone program simulating an online test using Grade 3 released SOL test items. No login or password is required to access the ESATT.
- Middle School Assessment Training Tool (MSATT)
Download this stand-alone program simulating an online test using Grade 5 released SOL test items. No login or password is required to access the MSATT.
- TestNav Tutorial - Sound Version
This version of the TestNav tutorial uses sound to narrate how to use the TestNav delivery system. This computer-driven tutorial can be downloaded in a MacintoshT or PC format.
- TestNav Tutorial - No Sound Version
This computer-driven tutorial demonstrates how to use the TestNav delivery system in a text- and graphics-based format. This tutorial can be viewed online or can be downloaded in a MacintoshT or PC format.

Lake Braddock is once again a subscriber to
SOLPASS.ORG
Now students can access this site at school and at home and practice with SOL review activities correlated directly to the Virginia SOL. Logon to solpass.org and click on the middle school link. You will need to ask your history teacher for the the password to sign into the password protected links for Social Studies and Science. There are lots of fun and varying activities to practice with each curriculum. There are also released Math tests for grades 7 and 8 (under middle school), Algebra and Geometry (under high school) that students can practice on their own.

At home, we encourage students taking a SOL test to become familiar with SOL testing by taking practice SOL tests. The following sites have tests available for practice:
