All students:
Congratulations to the Japanese students who participated in the national New Year's card contest. 8th grader, Jinny Lee, came in second in the Middle School artistic category.
Attention Lake Braddock students, your Technology Student Association chapter will be sponsoring a book drive for the American Cancer Society in conjunction with the St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Please donate gently used books to your sub schools. The book drive will be held from February 13th - February 17th. For any questions, come by room B117 and speak to Ms. Roberts.
Come out and see Mr. and Ms. Bruin Thursday in the Little Theater.
Support DECA by donating jeans to the Aeropostale Teens for Jeans campaign! All donated jeans will be given to homeless kids and teenagers. You can drop off jeans of any size or any brand at all subschools, any marketing class, HS guidance, or the Main Office. This campaign will end on Feb 12th. Thanks for your support!

Middle school students:
Eighth grade students: If you have made it into the semifinalist pool of the TJ admissions process, you need to turn in your Counselor Information Sheet to Mrs. Weaver as soon as possible. The deadline for submitting the Student Information Sheet is Tuesday, February 14th. No forms will be accepted after that time.
High school students:
The senior class will be selling valentine candy grams during all high school lunches.
Attention all Key Club Members: There will be a meeting today. We will have our officer elections and start our new project, Pennies for Patients.
Congratulations to the wrestling team who placed 2nd in the Patriot District. Also congrats to our 4 District Champions: Sean Haskett, Rory Renzi, Jake Sage and Gil Enav, who all brought home championships! Great Job and good luck at the Regional tournament this weekend.
Anyone interested in trying out for the girl's lacrosse team: There will be a mandatory interest meeting on Thursday at 2:30 in room C106. Please plan to attend; the season will be here before you know it!
Alfred Street Baptist Church is hosting its HBCU College Festival. The festival is Saturday, Feb. 18 from 9 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at TC Williams High School. Some colleges will have on-site admission and/or applications fees waived. There will also be seminars and performances from the Howard University drumline and the Virginia State University choir. In addition, there will be an ongoing mini-session called "Kicking it in the Corner" where students can get the 411 about the real college experience. Students should register for the festival at www.ASBCHBCU.org. Register today, come prepared, and arrive early.
