Mrs. Bresser is the Director of Student Services at the middle school level. She is the instructional leader of the Student Services, English, and English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) departments. Ms. Bresser has had over thirty years experience in the field of education across the globe as the wife of an Army officer. She has taught at all levels, pre-K through 12, although her bachelor's degree is in English, grades 7-12. She has had 18 years of counseling experience in FCPS at the elementary and middle school levels. Before coming to LBSS, she was the lead counselor at another FCPS middle school. She came to LBSS in 2006 as the Director of Student Services for the middle school.
Mrs. Bresser enjoys working with the middle school student as this is an age of constant change for both children and parent/s. Mrs. Bresser also enjoys being at a secondary school as she sees less anxiety in students and parents as they transition into the high school years. She believes that a strong home/school partnership is essential in helping students develop the skills which will be necessary to succeed as lifelong learners, responsible citizens, and participants in a global society. She invites all parents to contact her, their child’s team counselor, or any member of the Lake Braddock middle school staff with questions or concerns.
Having experienced the quality of staff and strong parent support at Lake Braddock, Ms. Bresser is very excited to be a part of the Lake Braddock Family of Learners!
