Ms. Bresser is the Director of Student Services at the middle school level. She supervises the Student Services and English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) departments. The Student Services staff is comprised of five school counselors, two school psychologists, one school social worker, a guidance assistant, a registrar, and a test coordinator. The ESOL department has four teachers, one of whom serves as the department chair.
Ms. Bresser has had over 30 years experience in the field of education across the globe as the wife of an Army officer. She has taught at all levels, pre-K through 12, although her bachelor's degree is in English, grades 7-12. She has had 18 years of counseling experience in FCPS at the elementary and middle school levels. Before coming to LBSS, she was the lead counselor at another FCPS middle school.
Ms. Bresser most enjoys working with the middle school student as this is an age of constant change for both children and parent/s. She believes that school counselors, school psychologists, and school social workers play an integral role in the development of middle school students, helping them become responsible citizens and lifelong learners by addressing the academic, career, and personal/social needs of each student.
Ms. Bresser is very excited to be a part of the Lake Braddock Family of Learners!
