Misson Statement

The Lake Anne Media Center is committed to the literacy of every student. Our books, materials and electronic databases reflect the interests of a multi-cultural student population and support the curriculum of Fairfax County Public Schools. Our wish is to create an atmosphere that fosters a love of reading, academic excellence and promotes life long learning.

Online Databases

The following subscription databases have been paid for by the county and can be accessed at school or home. They are ready and available to provide reliable information to students and teachers. Subscription databases have no junk sites or advertisements. Most of them provide the citation information needed for a bibliography in a cut and paste format. Usernames and passwords can be obtained in the PTA newsletter or a flyer can be picked up from the librarian.
