Windows Back In Time

You have just traveled back in time to ancient Greece or Rome. You are standing at your window looking outside. What do you see? You are going to draw a picture and write something about what you might see outside your window. Follow these steps.

  1. Using the websites below, choose an ancient culture (Greece or Rome) and a topic (geography, agriculture, architecture, etc.)
  2. Collect some interesting facts about that topic on your postcard (index card.)
  3. Make a draft of what you will draw in the window scene on the opposite side of your postcard.
  4. When you and your partner have collected the data that you need, quit Netscape or Internet Explorer.
  5. Launch the file named, "window" on the desktop and draw your window scene.
  6. You will write interesting facts about your scene in the classroom to complete this project.
