Night of the Notables
Students had plenty of opportunities to read and write biographies.

Students created biography posters which included a portrait, bio poem, award and timeline. These were hung around the cafeteria for the evening event and for other classes to view.

Abe Lincoln, Ben Franklin, Thomas Edison and Thurgood Marshall are interviewed by parents trying to guess who their identities.
Louise Braille, Jacques Cartier, Babe Didrikson, Sitting Bull and Ponce de Leon, wait to be interviewed.
After the interviewing is finished, the students introduced themselves and
the notables that they portrayed.
Then it was time to enjoy the "Notable Treats".
Florence Nightingale brought candle cupcakes. Thurgood Marshall brought gavel cookies. Helen Keller brought braille cookies.
