Polar Bear

Polar bears live along shores in the icy cold Arctic. They primarily eat seals. They also eat walruses, sealions and narwhals. The polar bear has no enemies except men. The walrus may gore it in self-defense. Polar bears look like a white bear with a big coat of white fur and a black nose.Wild polar bears may live up to 33 years and those that are in captivity may live a bit longer. Polar bears are champion swimmers. They have been known to swim more then 60 miles without a rest. They can swim 6 miles per hour. Polar bears wait at a seals breathing hole. When a seal comes to its breathing hole, the polar bear grabs its throat and sinks its teeth into the seal's head. The polar bear brings the seal to his home and eats it with its family.
