The Leopard Seal is a member of the True Seal family. It lives in Antarctica, and is also found in New Zealand. A Leopard seal can live up to 26 years or more. Its body is long and slender. Its mouth is full of long teeth. The Leopard Seal got its name from all the spots on its back. The color of their skin is usually gray. The female is 12 feet long larger than the male.

The Leopard Seal has a very large appetite. It eats penguins, young seals, krill, and fish. The only reason this seal shakes a penguin is because it wants to play with its food before dining. This is the only seal known to eat warm-blooded animals.
