The Nile Crocodile lives on the muddy banks of tropical rain forests, lakes, swamps, and rivers. It eats antelope, warthogs, fish, birds, hippo, zebra, large domestic animals, and occasionally humans. Man, birds of prey, ferrets, other reptiles, and humans are enemies of baby crocodiles. The Nile Crocodile can be up to 6 meters in length. The hide is rough and scaled. The Nile Crocodile's life span averages about 45 years in the wild, and it may live up to 80 years in captivity.
