The U.S. quarter
is worth 25¢. In 1964 the U.S.
government
made the
first Washington
quarters.
Before 1965, quarters were made of 90% silver and
10% copper. Since 1965 it has had one layer of
regular copper in the
middle. On
the outside it has a layer of copper-nickel
mixture. On one
side
there is the
head of George Washington and on the back of the
regular quarter it has the eagle, and it also has
the words "E PLURIBUS UNUM." This means "out of
many, one" and the other words are U.S. Quarter
Dollar. From 1999 to
2008 the U.S. mint is issuing 50 state quarters.
Five will be issued every year. Each state will
decide their design. Would you like to try solving some money problems??
