Lesson: Indian Pictograms
Grade level: Second Grade
Software used: KidPix or Pixie and Word

Students create a pictogram on a KidPix template. Then they import that pictogram into KidPix and retell the story by typing it in ClarisWorks.

 

Once upon a time there was a village.The men in the village went hunting,while the women grew the crops.The men came to a stream.They canoed across the stream. Then the men walked through a forest. They found bulls and killed them.Then they went back to the village to eat.
