Quarter horses
are very fast. They are called quarter horses
because they can run 1/4 of a mile faster than any
other type of horse. First bred in Colonial
Virginia, quarter horses are the best horses for
rounding up cattle. They are extremely popular. You
will see quarter horses in all different
colors.
