ANCIENT EGYPTIAN PADDLEDOLLS

by: Ms.Swift, Vicky, Anna, Sam, & Aaron

Ancient Egyptian paddle dolls were dolls that the Egyptians buried with their kings to serve them in the after life. They are called paddle dolls because of their paddle shapes. Each paddle doll had a different job to do for the king. For example a paddle doll may become a cook, guide, or gardener for their king. We are third graders at Kings Park Elementary School. After making Ancient Egyptian paddle dolls with Ms. Swift, we decided it would be a great idea to teach other people about paddle dolls and how they are made. We enjoyed this lesson very much because we love working with clay..
