Selection, Care & Training of Puppies

  • Selecting a puppy

Pick a healthy puppy that likes you. Ask to see the puppy's parents to see how they behave. Be sure to choose a calm and happy puppy.

  • Caring for a puppy

First go to a veterinarian to check to see if your puppy is healthy and has had its shots. You do not need to bathe your puppy more than two or three times a year, but be sure to check for ticks and fleas. Take your puppy for a walk every day. They need exercise just like you do.

  • Training a Puppy

Training is very important. You should teach your puppy:

no chewing, no wetting on the floor, no jumping on people, and to be kind to other animals.
