Snowy Owl

During the summer, Snowy Owls live on the Arctic tundra. They eat lemmings, hare, vole and shrews. Snowy Owls can live at least 9.5 years in the wild and 14 years in the captivity. Snowy owls can be up to 27 inches high and their wingspan is 45-60 inches. In the summer they are brownish with dark spots and stripes. In the winter they are completely white.
