Kings Park Elementary School is the only primary school in the Fairfax County, Virginia, public school system. Kings Park's 700+ students, kindergarten through grade 3, live in the Springfield-Burke communities. Students attend neighboring Kings Glen Elementary School for grades four through six. In grades seven through twelve, students attend Lake Braddock Secondary School.
As a primary school, reading, writing, and mathematics serve as the foundation of the school program. Built in 1964 and renovated in 1997, Kings Park students use classroom computers, a computer lab, and mobile labs to enhance their learning. Selected as a model Success by Eight site, Kings Park offers full-day kindergarten. The school motto "Together We Grow" at Kings Park reflects the enthusiastic commitment to life-long learning shared by students and staff. |
