November 2004
Thanks to all our volunteers who have already been hard at work. Between Vision & Hearing Screening and Picture Day, it has been a very busy month. Also, thanks to all who filled out and sent in their volunteer forms to be called upon throughout the year. Remember "Many Hands Make Light Work."
Lavender’s Gift Catalog pick up is Nov. 1 during parent-teacher conferences. See the details on page 4 of the newsletter. Thanks to all who participated!
Make the Harvest Moon Festival, Nov 5, 7-9 p. m. , your fun night out. There will be dancing, munchies, and community vendors like Tupperware, Pampered Chef, Creative Memories will be in the cafeteria with 15% of their proceeds donated to the PTA.
The PTA Silent Auction will be back in March by popular demand! Come to the Nov. 8, 7:30 p.m. planning meeting at Kings Glen. If you can't attend but are interested in helping, call Sandy Hunter (703-978-1185) or Laura Jacknin (703-425-8111).
Twinbrook Pizza Hut will donate 20% of total eat-in, take-out, or delivered purchases to the PTA on the third Wednesday of each month. See the coupon in today's Take Home Tuesday envelope. You can print off more coupons during the year from the PTA link on each school's website or pick up more in the school offices. Plan ahead to order pizza!
During this Thanksgiving month, take some time to think about what you have to be thankful for. My list is very long, and all of you are on it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing all you do to help in our schools. Thanksgiving is Thanksliving!
