Interstate Drivers Visit Third Graders

The Interstate drivers came to meet their third grade class. They explained the route they would be taking and promised to write.

Each class got to ask questions. This class wanted to know where the driver slept while he was on the road. The students soon got to see the answer for themselves when they went on a field trip to Interstate.

The first question asked of this driver was, "What kind of coffee do you drink, decaffeinated or with caffeine?"

This Colorado resident told the children that he has grandchildren and he goes home to Colorado between jobs.

Knowledge of United States geography is important to the Interstate truck drivers as well as to the third graders. By following the routes of the drivers, the students will strengthen these skills.
