Math The math curriculum includes seven
strands: number concepts and theory; operations; problem
solving and applications; geometry and spacial
relationships; measurement; data analysis, probability and
statistics; patterns, functions, and pre-algebra. Concepts
are introduced through the use of manipulatives and
developed through applications and problem solving
situations. Miss Archibald's fourth grade
class is studying arrays in math class to reinforce
multiplication concepts. The children
have found many arrays at home and at school.
Some of her students are pointing out the
various arrays found in their school, especially
the hallway. |
