HEALTH The county's Family Life
Education is the basis for the health curriculum which
includes units on Mental Health, Nutrition, Substance Abuse
and Personal Health and Safety. Through the use of videos,
role-playing, class discussions, projects, and other
instructional methods, students continually learn how to
stay healthy. Students learn how their habits
today affect their health tomorrow. They created
lists of healthy and unhealthy habits and show them
to the class. Fifth grade students write
descriptions of people and their lifestyle habits
and share their answers with the rest of the
class. The students discuss conflict
resolution using role playing examples. |
