Mrs. Folk started teaching at Kilmer Middle School in 2005 when her name was still Miss Settle. On June 10th , 2006, she got married in State College, Pennsylvania . Before moving to Northern Virginia, she spent many years teaching 7 th grade English in York , Pennsylvania . She is a certified Reading Specialist and holds two Master's Degrees, one in Education and a Master of Arts in English. Her favorite book is actually three books- The Lord of the Rings trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien. Mrs. Folk loves reading and writing and cannot wait to share this joy with her students! (Don't forget to read The Hobbit by Tolkien first before reading the trilogy!!) |
